The third annual WinterConnections dinner for international graduate students in their first year at UBC was held at St. John’s College on January 17.

WinterConnections is co-sponsored by Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies; International Student Development; the Office of the Vice President, Students;  the President’s Endowment Fund;  the Provost’s Office;  the Office of the Ombudsperson for Students; and St. John’s College.

Approximately 100 were in attendance for a wonderful dinner put out by our kitchen along with some great  dialogue that we hope helps build a network of support for these new international graduate students as they pursue their studies at UBC.. Several of our own SJC residents attended as well as volunteered in leading table discussions along with with volunteers from International Student Development.
