The St. John’s College clock tower has a new set of Chinese characters announcing our name in Chinese.  The new sign is in honour of our Johannean Founders, the alumni of St. John’s University of Shanghai. Basically, the characters you see announce our name in Chinese. The calligraphy was done by Mr. Hong Yong-fan, a Johannean alumni now residing in Shanghai who is reknowned for his beautiful calligraphy.
